The years of war have resulted in generations of people who have experienced extreme loss and suffering. Their country has had very limited educational or health care facilities. There is very little infrastructure. And that means PCC needs to deal with the challenges of wet muddy roads during the five months of the year when the rains are present. Those same muddy ruts become baked cement ridges in the dry season.
A used Land Cruiser was purchased in 2006. It has served us well, however, it is becoming more and more expensive to maintain and constantly in need of repair as it gets older. It is a huge drain on our financial resources.
Contributions are needed. We need a reliable vehicle for transporting necessary supplies, workers and volunteers. Occasionally, it serves as an ambulance for desperately ill or injured patiends.
